The San Cristobal La Punta is a creamy and rich medium bodied Pyramid. Launched by Habanos in 1999, it is hand rolled using only tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region. It gets its name from one of the fortress of La Habana that used to defend the city during the Spanish Latin America Empire times. Despite its lack of fame, it is definitely a cigar that worth a try. Like other vitolas from the San Cristobal marca, La Punta cigar is pretty smooth, medium range in strength, overall very creamy and which develops a nice complexity of flavors along the whole smoke. There is plenty of leather, wood, barnyard, hay, nuts, toasty aromas, fruits notes, some chocolate, and some coffee. There is a delicious sweetness along the whole cigar too.
The Sancho Panza Belicosos is a smooth and tasty medium-full bodied Pyramid. Sancha Panza, an old Habanos brand whereas not being the most famous, is known for several great vitolas , such as the Belicosos and the Molinos that were very popular one century ago. Thankfully, the Belicosos is still around and available. It is a praised cigar among aficionados of Habanos. Unlike other Torpedos, the Sancho Panza Belicosos not too strong and yet has the distinctive Sancho Panza taste. It is never too aggressive on the palate.

Maybe the best Torpedo cigar out of Cuba, the Unico from Vegas Robaina is a real Habano that provides the closest experience of being in Cuba. A very rich cigar that has a very neat construction and an awesome balance of aromas. The taste is very typical of Vegas Robaina puros: smooth yet vibrant with a pinch roasted coffee. Goes along well with aged spirits.

Not overly complex, despite being still a young cigar. Hence, a great pick for aging. It will get even better after 12 - 24 months.

Released in mid 2015, this cigar is a rarity as only 4000 boxes have been produced and distributed exclusively in the Carribean region. Amazing flavor profile, typical Cuban earth, leather, wood and a lot of roasted nuts and black pepper. Already a delicious cigar that young, it has a great aging potential. This is a little gem that will run out fast.
