The Rafael Gonzalez Perlas is a Cuban beauty, a medium-full bodied Petit Corona. One of the most recent cigars of the Rafael Gonzalez lineup, (released in 2011), and is a pretty short smoke, perfect for a morning break. Its construction is great; it's perfectly rolled and feels nice between the fingers. It smokes beautifully, rather slowly and has a nice creamy profile but also develops some powerful woody aromas. There are also some creamy aromas, some coffee, some spices from pepper and some berries touches. The finish is long, with vanilla and some floral aftertaste. Overall, it is a great little smoke that can age very well and evolve into an even more mellow profile.

The Ramon Allones Small Club Coronas is a spectacular medium-full Petit Corona. This cigar deserves more consideration, despite the fact that its big brother, the Specially Selected, gets all the attention. It is also suffering from the harsh competition from other Habanos like Partagas Petit Corona, Montecristo No.4, Bolivar Petit Coronas, Cohiba Siglo II, San Cristobal De La Habana El Principe, and Por Larranaga Petit Coronas which are all outsanding smokes. Give the Small Club Coronas a chance. You will be quite pleased.

The Ramon Allones Gigantes is a Habanos superstar, a rich medium-full Double Corona. It is an impressive long cigar, which is perfectly rolled, using long filler and tobacco leaves from Vuelta Abajo region. It is more than just a bigger Ramon Allones Specially Selected, despite having typical Ramon Allones flavors; it has its own character. A very complex smoke, with lots of nutty, floral, leathery, cedar aromas among others, and with a very smooth and creamy profile. Maybe the best Ramon Allones out there, and definitely in the top 5 Double Coronas out of Cuba. A great after dinner kind of smoke. It is a cigar that is not too strong, and then can be enjoyed both by experienced smokers and new comers to Cuban cigars.

El Rey del Mundo with this Demi Tasse. It is a discrete smoke, just a bit more than a cigarette but less than a cigar, like Panetelas. This is the perfect choice of a Havana smoke for a short break. Recommended aging is 20 years to be at its prime but who can wait that long. If you can, you will be greatly rewarded. Buy a few boxes and set them aside.

This is an admirable Hermoso, complex and very gratifying. It gets even better when aged for 2 to 3 years. Its full of traditional Cuban flavors, dominated by spicy and leathery aromas. Creamy yet complex. Goes along very well with coffee. Its a real gem. Not sure why it isnt more renowned. A great value for the price.

The San Cristobal de la Habana El Principe is a good short smoke to have when the time is of the essence and still enjoying the same flavor profile. This cigar can hold its own against a Partagas Shorts or a Montecristo No. 5. A great example of what a great petit corona can be. This cigar is a great digestive after a rich meal.

SAN CRISTOBAL LA PUNTA N-25

The San Cristobal La Punta is a creamy and rich medium bodied Pyramid. Launched by Habanos in 1999, it is hand rolled using only tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region. It gets its name from one of the fortress of La Habana that used to defend the city during the Spanish Latin America Empire times. Despite its lack of fame, it is definitely a cigar that worth a try. Like other vitolas from the San Cristobal marca, La Punta cigar is pretty smooth, medium range in strength, overall very creamy and which develops a nice complexity of flavors along the whole smoke. There is plenty of leather, wood, barnyard, hay, nuts, toasty aromas, fruits notes, some chocolate, and some coffee. There is a delicious sweetness along the whole cigar too.

The San Cristobal La Fuerza is a smooth and complex medium bodied Robusto Extra. Its unusual shape, longer than a Robusto, with a thick ring gauge, makes it longer to smoke, and lets you enjoy its medium body for a longer time. SANCHO PANZA NON PLUS N-25

The Sancho Panza Non Plus is a delightful and creamy medium bodied Petit Corona. It is somewhat close to a Vegas Robaina Familiar in taste. It presents a nice mix of flavors in the palate, such as earth, wood, peat, leather (quite salty and dank flavors), but there is also some sweetness of cocoa, vanilla, chocolate and some fruity notes of raisin, and hints of oatmeal. For such an attractive price, it would be a miss not to try this Habanos. It can be a bit young and powerful, but overtime, after 2 or 3 years of ageing, the flavors will be magnified. It is definitely a cigar that deserves publicity.

The Sancho Panza Belicosos is a smooth and tasty medium-full bodied Pyramid. Sancha Panza, an old Habanos brand whereas not being the most famous, is known for several great vitolas , such as the Belicosos and the Molinos that were very popular one century ago. Thankfully, the Belicosos is still around and available. It is a praised cigar among aficionados of Habanos. Despite being thick and short, the Famosos construction is extremely well done and very rich.
