The Flor de Cano brand introduces the new vitola Elegidos, which is crafted like the rest of the brand’s vitolario: “Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Corta” (totally handmade with short filler) using leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region in Pinar del Río, Cuba. These cigars offer a balanced blend of flavor and aroma and are considered medium strength.

For more than 40 years, the brand has remained a discreet jewel in the Habanos portfolio, accessible only to experts in the French market. The biggest innovations were successful in regional editions and four in recent decades were exclusively for the French market.
The name Romeo y Julieta, created as a Habanos brand in 1875, has its roots in the literary tragedy of the same name by the English writer William Shakespeare.
The brand achieved international renown in the early years of the 20th century, after Don “Pepín” Rodríguez, one of the first to recognize the importance of rings as a factor for success.

Three new brand launches were added to the regular Habanos portfolio in 2019. Of the three vitolas, two of them are unpublished. These are Esmeralda (ring gauge 53 x 145 mm long) and Media Luna (ring gauge 50 x 115 mm long), while Topes (ring gauge 56 x 125 mm long) had already been launched as a Limited Edition in 2016 and with very good reception. Now, Topes incorporates ring gauge 56 for the first time in the brand’s regular portfolio.
The new vitolas of Vegueros are presented with the new image of the brand and in a 16-unit metal tin. Centrofinos in its trend format, highly appreciated by smokers of these times and may be accessible to a wider spectrum of smokers.
