The name Romeo y Julieta, created as a Habanos brand in 1875, has its roots in the literary tragedy of the same name by the English writer William Shakespeare.
The brand achieved international renown in the early years of the 20th century, after Don “Pepín” Rodríguez, one of the first to recognize the importance of rings as a factor for success.
The Reserva Bolivar is a rare and unique release with an extremely limited production of only 5,000 fancy black & silver numbered cases, each containing 20 cigars. The Belicoso vitola (52 ring gauge x 140 mm length) was selected for this Reserva which is double banded with the historic yellow Bolivar band and the black & silver Reserva band.

This Gordo Robusto cigar measures 130 mm in length by 21.8 mm in diameter (55 ring gauge). It will take 45 minutes to properly savour.
The San Cristóbal de La Habana 20 Aniversario Cigar was Habanos’ latest release of 2020. The cigar itself has been made in a Capuleto vitola which translates to a ring gauge of 162mm by 52. It has a “La Casa del Habano” secondary imprint, meaning the cigar is intended to be sold primarily through the official LCDH franchise.
The La Gloria Cubana Glorias LCDH Cigar is a brand new release by Habanos SA for the La Casa del Habano franchise worldwide. It features a unique vitola in its portfolio, Flechas, which measures 156mm long by 49 ring gauge. The Glorias come beautifully packed in a rather ornate 20-count box with a now-de-rigour velour sleeve and outer cardboard packaging and a smoking time of 60-90 minutes.

The Montecristo Open Slam Cigar is a vitola known as Idlicos that measures 5 3/5 (142mm) x 52 and appears to be a new vitola for the Cuban cigar world. It will join the Montecristo Open sub-brand, which debuted with four vitolas in 2009. The Box is available in boxes of 15 and 20 cigars. The duration of the cigar will depend on factors such as how tightly it is packed and how quickly you smoke it. On average, it should last between 45 minutes to an hour.
